Aus-ROC Investigators win Top NHF Vanguard Award
Yesterday Aus-ROC’s Janet Bray, Lahn Straney, Karen Smith and Judith Finn received the Heart Foundation’s The Ross Hohnen Award for Research Excellence for the most outstanding and innovative Vanguard Grant application in 2015. The funded project will collect data to understand regional variation in bystander CPR rates -which will inform the development of community-based CPR education programs.

Aus-ROC investigators are delighted to have received funding from the NHMRC for an Aus-ROC Centre of Research Excellence (#2035259) aiming to optimise the emergency response to save lives. We aim to investigate a comprehensive solution to improve bystander and EMS response to OHCA. We will investigate innovative health strategies, including cutting-edge technology, to enhance the efficacy and sophistication of the emergency response for OHCA.
